Hello All... I've dusted off, cleaned up and think it just might be time to jump back into the social world, it has been awhile but I am sure it is time.

My (new to me) camper is a treasured possesion, I love being on the road to somewhere new. I need be outside as much as possible and playing whenever I can...and since I've retired early I can be gone as soon as the spirit hits. I'm quiet - but paying close attention. I value my friends and am so grateful for their love. I do love meeting people but when the focus is on me, I get uneasy --- I'm the opposite of a drama queen. I believe we all come with our own sets of baggage, most of it can be left at the door.

Though I'm pretty much self-educated I do require a partner w/ evidence of active gray matter. I don't care abit about the initials behind the name but there's got to be something interesting going on between the ears. Agreeing do disagree is a perfectly good ending to a conversation - however, if your mourning the loss of Dick Cheney and Co.'s regime the chasm may be abit beyond acceptable.

I enjoy fiddling with things - trying to fix them...most of the time I am successful..I enjoy hard work- wired, plumbed, etc my home... the idea of a new venture or adventure that involves hard work is a good thing in my eyes. I don't/won't own a TV and if I could stay away from my computer I would have more hours available to me in the day..

Recyling, bicycling, Friends, keeping up with news and the world, reading, praying, meditating, stretching, unfortunately not hoursework, family, hiking, nope, not really cooking either, gardening, creating thru fiber arts, meetings, watching my beautiful plants grow, my dogs and cats, feeding the birds, going to an ocean, -- these and lots more are important to me -- and not in that order.

I may be open to re-locate if the right opportunity presents itself.....

I've spent the last 5 years renovating my home, it is pretty much done now, looking for a new project. I'm a weaver - love to make rugs, bags, scarves, anything that might come out beautiful, usable and maybe even sell-able.

Well, I'm trying something new. Folks have said my earlier self-summary (saved below for the curious) was a bit abrupt (which I can see) and might be giving the wrong impression of me. I really am a very nice person, albeit more likely to err on the side of "blunt" than not.

But, they also pointed out that it wasn't really a self-summary, which is true - So, here goes.

I'm a happily married, poly, mother of three (two grown, one teen). I love my husband, <<teknoviking>>, very much and am happy as a clam relationship wise. I describe poly as being the icing on the cake for us, and it really is. I'm not looking for someone to make my life complete, but I am always on the look out for new friends, comrades (and maybe, just maybe more) on this merry march through life. All with the Viking's knowledge and blessing, of course.

I love to travel, love to read, love to boggan (work in the yard and house), love to chat online (which is good, since we live in a place far off the beaten path, and sometimes it's my only opportunity for social interaction.)

I tend to be kind of nitpicky about basic written communication. Not that I'm going to point out every misspelled word, but I do appreciate the ability to be able to read what people are saying without a translator for horrible grammar and spelling.

I love cooking, love writing, love socializing - I'm not crazy about Dumb-and-Dumber style humor, but do have a weak spot for the occasional romantic comedy or stand up act. I LOVE trying new things, be it a friend's favorite book, restaurant, nightclub or activity. Show me the way, teach me how, and I'm willing to give it a try!

I'm not looking for casual hookups or smutty chat online, however - so even if I took down my earlier message, please don't send me naked pictures of you. There's no faster way to earn a spot on my Blocked List. :)

(It's recently been pointed out to me that this opening may, in fact, come across as aggressive or abrasive. I honestly don't mean it that way. I love talking with new people, meeting folks, and I'm not some sort of frigid ice maiden by any means. I just dislike/am not interested in the "hookup" aspect that some social-networkers are focused on. On the other hand, even this strong of a statement hasn't stopped the "hey, u want hawt chat?" bozos, so... I think maybe it's a lost cause. *grin*)

That being said... As for what I do like?

Real people, writing, reading, cooking, road trips, sci-fi conventions, role playing, LARP, games, sewing, conventions, Mongols, history, geeks, beading, knitting, crochet, calligraphy, comics, snow, gaming, the Pacific Northwest, fairy tales, pirates and chatting. Of course, this is far from an inclusive list. I have a very broad (if somewhat shallow) interest range, and love learning new things. I'm not really into sports (including Nascar) or politics (not because I don't think it's important, but because I am woefully uneducated on the topic and refuse to form strong opinions when I know I am far from informed about the matter at hand.)

In general, I'm a nice person, a good conversationalist, and you should feel free to drop me a line if you would like to visit about any of the above, or just chat with a nice woman.

I'm on a long strange trip, and it keeps getting more interesting all the time. I'm in my late 40s, but I feel like I might be 23. I'm curious about everything I see, hear, and touch, and I usually see what other people don't. I've been rich, been poor, been almost famous, and nobody all at the same time. I'm lucky, but not privileged. I like the finer things in life, but I sometimes think that the finer things aren't always so obvious. Sometimes I am crazy, but I'm always sane when need be. Discovery,Animal planet,History Channel, Ripley's believe it or not,Montel Williams and many more.Play guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and sing. Playing actively with bands until recently decided to take a brake and travel.

I am a guide dog trainer and veteran. I am passionate about dog training and all aspects of GSD's (German Shepherd Dogs) and wolves, and I also love horses and nature. I enjoy being in forested mountains; whether for hiking, camping, or just living.

I am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction. In fiction my favorite genres are sci-fi, fantasy, and historical fiction. In non-fiction; I enjoy topics in animal behavior, anthropology, archeology, astronomy, biology, cultures, environmental, gaiology, geology, genetics (population genetics and macro over micro), history, human behavior, linguistic roots, mythology, paleontology, and political; for the most part.

I try to live honorably and live up to my strong native American morals. I was born in a polyandrous pagan household and find the concept of monogomy un-natural. But I believe in respecting promises and committments. I am tolerant of others who are different than myself.

I will not abide jealousy, abuse, intolerance, or wanton cruelty. I like myself and want anyone close to me to like themselves too. I wish neither to dominate nor be dominated.

I am curious about many things and will search out answers or clues to understanding. I love to engage in deep discussions on many topics and might passionately defend my position without getting angry or upset that others might adamantly disagree. I will grudgingly admit when I am wrong.

I don't have anything to write here yet, and I'm upset that it's making me write this in order to save the other things I've written, so I'm not going to say anything of note and will come back later to fill this in.

I'm from San Diego, bouncing around in a military family until I decided to stop bouncing and become one of the drabbest and most unprofitable things one can become, a writer. I have followed the Writers' Code faithfully, remaining more or less poor and more or less obscure since entering into the craft. I have published two books, but for some reason I still have to pay for my coffee at Denny's. What a world.

Have ploughed through a couple of rough patches in my life and, I think, am stronger for it all. I practice Buddhism, and am conscious of the daily struggle to avoid the entanglements of the environment-- but it's just the sort of thing one needs to keep involved in the world, and not just shut everything out. The examined life is, indeed, the only one that is worth living, but one still winds up talking to one's self a little too often. Know what I mean? Of course I do. Shut up. Right. I enjoy life. But-- like most of us-- I could enjoy it more in the right company. Co-conspirators are welcome to apply. I was away from the Cupe for a while, as I enjoyed the tests, they are awesome, but not the drama, which sucks. Have dipped a toe back in the waters to see if people are being relaxed and groovy. If so, Imma stick around for a while, methinks. So if you wanna say hey, ummmm, say hey.

A.A. in General Studies, though considered nothing to some, but I am still pursuing my B.A. in psychology. I'm studying online, so, I have more free-time. I work as a translator when the work is available and I am a minister. (Doesn't mean I'm boring.)

I can't say I'm perfect, but I can say I try my best to be as nice to others as possibly can be. It's not hard. I just don't see the point in making others unhappy.

Within the realms of my positivity is the realism I see within the world. I notice that people lie, cheat, and swindle others for various objectives to better themselves, or to lessen the blow of a statement that needs to be said. I am very honest with what I think and say and I don't sugar coat things. I find that the truth is always better, even if I can't handle the truth ;_; Oeh Noes!
